California Team Places Third at the National Competition!

Team California had a great showing at the national MATHCOUNTS Competition in Washington, D.C. The team finished third overall, and two of our California students placed in the Top 10 as individuals. Alex Zhan placed seventh and Rohan Mallick placed ninth, both qualifying for the Countdown Round. In addition to competing, the team got the chance to see some of Washington, D.C., including the White House, many of the memorials, and the National Academy of Sciences. Our coach reports that they were wonderful to work with as a team and a great representation of California.
