Meet the South Bay/Santa Monica Coordinators!
Wes Eller:
Wes is one of our Mathcounts coordinators and our Emcee! At NG, he is a Systems Engineer leading testbeds for a military satellite constellation. He spends a lot of time looking at electrical signals, helping people decide how to test stuff, and worrying about finishing work on time.
At home, he is a dad to new little boy named Torben! He enjoys running, woodworking and lifting weights. Before this role, he worked on small satellites and the James Webb Space Telescope as an Attitude Control Systems Test Engineer. He also got to help launch JWST, and can be briefly spotted around the 48 minute mark on the JWST Netflix special ‘Cosmic Time Machine’. He spent several years in the Marine Corps, and now serves in the USMC Reserve forces as a Communications Officer. While he was in Marines full time, he lived in Virginia, California, Hawaii and Japan all in just 4 years!
His favorite food is ramen noodles.
